We've had a lot going on here at the farm as the days get longer and hotter. The Summer Solstice is this Saturday! How did we get here so fast? Last night we finished up our first "Create a Farm in Your Backyard" class at Millbrook High school. What a great time we've had over the last 4 weeks learning about self-sufficiency, strategies for growing food, and taking care of animals. I'll be teaching the class again in October - you can register today!
And we've finally got some dates for our first "Soil Yourself!" Workshops! "Save Your Own Seeds" will be Saturday, July 19 from 10am - 12pm (cost - $25 per person). And the "Have a Fall Garden" workshop and seedling sale will be Saturday, August 16 from 10am - 12pm (cost - $25 per person). Click the "Soil Yourself! Workshops" tab above for more info.
