A Little Fruity at the Farm

About three years ago we started our Little Farm "Orchard" with several varieties of dwarf fruit trees.  We've been waiting patiently and pruning and pinching to let everyone's roots get well established.  (I have done the waiting.  Tim has done all the actual work.)  We've also added several plants from family cuttings that Tim has carefully tended to over the years.  It's very exciting to see buds, blooms, and berries bursting out all around the yard.  Check it out:

Lovely white flowers turn to...

Tons of yummy blackberries!
(just a few more days to ripen)

So far, we have a pair of pears.  Hopefully, more to come.
One of my favorites -persimmons.
Love the flower-in-a-flower-in-a-flower blooms on this tree!

The Mulberry tree is loaded down which makes both children and chickens very happy!

Now, if we can just beat the birds to these beauties.

In addition to these we have blueberries galore.  I look forward to the next picture post full of cherry pie, mulberry cobbler, blueberry muffins, etc.  It's like a scavenger hunt every time we walk through the yard!
